Machining at ARCC Innovations: the ARCC Moulton® TSR Front Pannier Carrier

ARCC Bikes is not only an e-bike retailer but also a design studio and workshop, with the ability to readily conceptualize, machine and produce components that improve its premium products. This is thanks to the state-of-the-art facilities it has access to on site here at ARCC Innovations, including 2D/3D CAD Modelling and CNC Machining, which enable innovative solutions to eBiking problems.

Alongside in-house designed products like the ARCC Intelligent Drive Pod and the ARCC System Bag Adapter (for Brompton bike electric conversions), the latest of ARCC Bikes’ creations is the ARCC Moulton® TSR Front Pannier Carrier.

As the ARCC Intelligent Drive Pod is mounted on the Moulton TSR’s stem, this had previously prevented the mounting of front-facing pannier mounts. However, with the introduction of the ARCC Moulton® TSR Front Pannier Carrier, this is no longer the case.

Designed by ARCC Bikes’ technicians using CAD modelling before being machined and welded on site, the ARCC Moulton® TSR Front Pannier Carrier can be used alongside the Intelligent Drive Pod and accommodates for two small Moulton front panniers. It also includes a water bottle cage mounting plate, which allows for either one bottle cage or a spare battery holder.

With luggage capacity now up to potentially two spare battery holders as well as more pannier space, the ARCC Moulton® TSR Front Pannier Carrier upgrades it into an out-and-out touring bike.

Please note that the maximum load capacity for this type of luggage carrier is 10kg. This is in line with ISO 11243:2016(E).

The total weight distributed across the bike should not exceed a total of 120kg.
