Versatile and Thought-Provoking: A Different Approach to Products At A Waite Design
From motorsport livery and rubber mats, to kitchenware and clocks, the range of projects that A Waite Design has worked on is extensive. A fact that is even more impressive considering the industrial and product design consultant service has only been around for a short number of years. But in that time, A Waite Design has already established itself a reputation for inspired products, and has collaborated with renowned businesses across a range of sectors. From automotive and cycling to kitchen design, A Waite Design has worked with the likes of Walser, Stique, Umbra, Urban Bar and Joseph Joseph.
Recently celebrating its third birthday, A Waite Design was established in August 2017 by award-winning, Transport Product Design alumnus of Aston University, Anthony Waite. Based at ARCC’s Campus in South Cambridgeshire, A Waite Design makes use of the sophisticated technology available on-site, including CAD modelling, high-grade machining, and additive manufacturing to hone its creative process.
A Waite Design prides itself on providing a complete, step-by-step service to its clients; realising their plans from start to finish by producing an ideation from sketch, before running it through CAD and quickly on to production-quality prototyping. It also offers expertise in commercialisation. Conducting rigorous market research and strategic analysis, A Waite Design looks for innovation gaps and concept opportunities, and is adept at creating branding and packaging for its products.
ARCC Innovations is very pleased to count A Waite Design amongst its affiliated businesses, which has been a constant source of inspiration and collaboration across the ARCC site. Indeed, many products produced at ARCC have benefitted from the input of A Waite Design. For example, ARCC Bikes’ pair of town bikes, the ARCC Abington and Rosemont, were developed and successfully launched in early 2019 thanks to insight from A Waite Design. Likewise, Node has made use of A Waite Design’s expertise in visualisations, to produce renders of the complex internal matrix of its HYLIXA speaker. Studio 17 and A Waite Design have also regularly worked with each other on design projects and renders.
The ARCC Innovations site has benefitted directly from A Waite Design’s capabilities in recent months; the renders for the ARCC pavilion and the new front-of-house area were both visualised by the design consultancy. Extremely pleased with the end result, which adds sleek, open-air areas to our facilities, more internal projects for A Waite Design are on the horizon.
A highly driven and innovative design consultant, A Waite Design products are tempered by a respect for function while pursuing aesthetic excellence. Utilising modern manufacturing processes to create exciting, sustainable and successful design solutions, A Waite Design has worked on a wide range of projects for various well-known clients. Always looking to collaborate with people, teams, and businesses on new and existing products, A Waite Design looks confidently to the future of British design.
